Hallo Michael,
nothing special to read, just get comfortable with webtest and htmlunit
sources. Both have very good test coverage and this is probably what you
can look at.
Concerning AJAX most of the work surely needs to be done in htmlunit to
improve js support. Nevertheless some work has to be done in WebTest too
to make testing more comfortable but "how" is probably a matter of
experience. Personally I don't have to work on test automation of AJAX
applications until now and therefore I have only a few suppositions of
what would make sense.
Marc.

Hi Paul,
So if find some time - or hit on a new feature-request by myself, what kann I
read to be prepared to add a new feature by myself? Do you have any Links where
I can get deeper into the subjects: webtest and htmlunit?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

I think that Paul added this some monthes ago to have a
"target" in Ajax
support but I don't think that we've tried more in this area here
(personally as I don't need it in my "real" work, when I
have time to
"play" in this area, I currently try to improve htmlunit)
Yes, I had a customer that was interested in revamping their
J2EE app to be fully Ajax enabled. So, I was going to add in
tests and support (and/or HtmlUnit extension requests/patches)
at the time. That opportunity was taken over by higher priorities.
I do though have another customer in that same situation. If that
comes off I will probably have time to look at it further then.
Paul.
