Hi,
there was recently a discussion in HtmlUnit mailing lists about
upgrading to Java 5 (current is 1.4). 1.4 could possibly still be
supported with tools like retroweaver.
The arguments are that Java 5 is already here since a while and some of
its feature would be nice to use in HtmlUnit (particularly the
generics). Furthermore Java 1.4 will enter the End Of Life phase of the
support by Sun once Java 7 will be released.
I don't see this as very critical for WebTest users because it would be
quite easy to install a particular JDK that gets used only by WebTest,
no matters what runs otherwise on the computer.
What do you think?
