after logging into the system and checking corresponded record I see
that checkbox is unchecked.
looks correct.
Why do you mean that checkbox state doesn't change? Log seems to say
that it has been checked.
To "see" the current state of the page after the setCheckBox, you can try:

If you submit the form, you can look at the sent request to see what is
sent for your checkbox.
