Sure. Motivation is as follows: 1) We are a java shop. Dealing with ruby is a p.i.a. 2) Reporting in WATIR sucks. I can't easily integrate the reports into our nightly build system. Even then, they are difficult to read. 3) Writing webtest scripts is easy for java people. 4) Our qa dept writes webtests. Our dev dept can then check out the webtest cvs module, modify a properties file and point it to the correct host, then type ant. This runs the webtest. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Installing ruby/wet/watir and getting configured correctly seems to always take 4 or 5 hours.
