The usual question: which version of WebTest do you use? HtmlUnit evaluates more and more CSS settings nevertheless I think that testing for the string "display: none" may be adventurous: what is with for instance with "display:none"?
Nevertheless I'm quite surprise that you don't get the same results on each run. Is some background js task involved?
