Thanks Lily,

I thought about that approach (and of course it works), however, I just wonder if I can verify contents on the second window directly after clickLink without invoking the url.

Katie,

Do you have the url of the "popup window"? Can you try to do "invoke" url and get to the second page? Also make sure the clickElement step works and it really takes you to the second page.

Hi Lily,

It's not gonna to work that way. After clickLink or clickElement, I only able to verify the text on the first window. This is like popup window, but not really.

Thanks

Katie

Katie,

I think you can do:

clickLink or clickElement, then verifyText Webtest will follow the clickElement step and test the second window by default. Hope it works, Lily

Subject: [Webtest] Verify second window contents?

Hi,

I am new with the Webtest. Currently I have a problem of verifying the text of second window. When I click on a link or icon, and there is a second window appears on top of the first(current) window. It means the link or icon is gererated a different url. This is not a popup window.

Is there any way to verify text (content) in different window?

Any suggestion is helpful!

Thanks

Katie Pham
