Look into using the wt:cleanText function in your xpath, see this email thread for an example -> http://webtest.markmail.org/search/?q=wt%3AcleanText#query:wt%3AcleanText+page:1+mid:qi36nzfqhh5mh6fg+state:results ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2008 2:48 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Webtest] how to verify this context Hi ! there is an JPetStore5 sample on the net. When login success, there will be an welocome (username)! on the page. I want to know how to verify the welcome context. I used the verifyXpath, the xpath can locate the part of webpage which contains the context but there is two spare lines and several space in front of it, so the compare result is false. I also tried storeResponseCode, but it seems I always cant get the right property. How can I do this verify ? the url to JPetStore5 : http://www.jwebhosting.net/servlets/jpetstore5/shop/index.shtml my verifycode: <verifyXPath xpath="//[EMAIL PROTECTED]"WelcomeContent"]" text="Welcome Lee! "/> and <storeResponseCode property="authenticated"></storeResponseCode> <verifyProperty name="authenticated" value="true"></verifyProperty> userID: Leeeee password: leeeee thanks!
