In six words: How do I do this please? I have tried <verifyText text="Laurel & Hardy"/>, I have tried <verifyText text="Laurel & Hardy"/> but both failed to find the text in the page. In desperation I even tried <verifyText text="Laurel & Hardy"/> but was told that "The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference." All I could find in the archives related to ampersands in URLs, not in the page content.
I am using xml to write my tests, as you might guess, rather than groovy.
