Field not found because of nested html

My login page is having header.jsp+login.jsp+footer.jsp.
header.jsp is having <html></html> and login.jsp also having <html></html>
when i execute my webtest it says the textbox name given in the script not
found.
If i remove the <html></html> from header.jsp then it works fine.
Could you please help me how to overcome this as I need <html></html> in
header.jsp
