Webtest doesn´t detect the resuting new table Ajax

Hello,
we´re testing our web with webtest.
We have a problem, when we push the button 'Buscar', the system find in
database and show the results. This is appearing using AJAX. For the test of
this in the webtest, we use:
<sleep seconds="2"/>
but webtest doesn´t detect the resulting new table.
Why not?
