PDF testing is a huge differential from webtest .. - ok, a bit oddd that "web"test is actually used for "pdf"test :)
Selenuim is the hype about webtests, but Selenuim doesn't offer PDF testing.. And there is no much good PDF testing on the market... AFIK: to compete with Selenium, the webtest deserve a lot of investment .. Resources and time.. Being new to integration testing, the difference between HtmlUnit and Webtest doesn't strike me. I suppose Webtest offers much more than HtmlUnit, but it's not obvious to a newcomer. I'm actually still only able to launch HtmlUnit because I don't know how to set useInsecureSSL in groovy. HtmlUnit is convenient because it's Java, so it's easy to launch HtmlUnit tests with Maven (+JUnit/TestNG). And right, I understand your plugin wraps the Ant invocation and allows Canoo Ant script based test to be integrated with the Maven lifecycle.
