Agreed, but the HtmlUnit simulates the browser actions based on the browser
mentioned in the tests.
For that it needs the controls and properties of the browser.
The HtmlUnit version 2.8 supports the simulation of IE8.
But the webtest build still doesn't recognize IE8 as a browser option.
For that we need to make some changes to the configuration code.
You may go through the following JIRA for the explanation & to have the
fixed files. "http://webtest-community.canoo.com/jira/browse/WT-567";.
Replace your old files with these, do a webtest build and you can use the
newly generated webtest.jar for all your IE8 testing.
