They have them in some of the stores here but nothing like those fresh HOT DOUGHNUTS at the stores in Texas. [sigh] They don't really do donuts here much for some reason. I'd think they'd go crazy for drive-through coffee & donuts.
Krispy Kreme is offering free donuts (or doughnuts, as they call them) Inauguration Day. In a press release<http://sev.prnewswire.com/food-beverages/20090114/AQW52414012009-1.html>the company announced that it will be "honoring American's sense of pride and freedom of choice on Inauguration Day, by offering a free doughnut of choice to every customer on this historic day, Jan. 20. By doing so, participating Krispy Kreme stores nationwide are making an oath to tasty goodies -- just another reminder of how oh-so-sweet "free" can be." Whatever. It's surprising that Krisky Kreme even has the money to offer this promotion. The company has been bleeding cash for years and its stock currently trades at $1.50 per share.
