Jon Stewart mentioned that last night too!! He said Jindal's comment about
volcano monitoring......like why would we spend money to predict natural
disasters? Because if a disaster did occur, it might kill a LOT of people!!
And speaking as if he were Jindal he said, 'volcano monitoring? That's like
predicting that levees would be over-topped......it'll never happen!!

And taking this one step further, as an Oklahoman, it would be like not
bothering to predict when a tornado is likely to occur!! The government as
well as the local stations spend a lot of money so that they can predict
these things early and save lives in the process! If they acted on the
Jindal plan, they would just throw out all of that expensive equipment and
let tornadoes kill people without warning the public!!

I don't see that happening any time soon..........people around here know
about tornadoes and they know they can bring death and devastation to their
communities in a short period of time. Early warnings can save
lives........even if they do have to rebuild their homes.

Good for the Mayor of Vancouver..........everyone should let this jerk know
he does not have an idea nor a plan.........
