actually Obama's approval is so good now, he can do pretty much anything. People are nervous and unsure, especially related to the economy. And people see Obama and the democrats as trying to do something about it! Whereas, the republicans.......as they are rapidly becoming the party of no, the public sees them as doing nothing during a time of crisis!!
So basically it doesn't matter what republicans do because no one is really paying attention to them anyway!
