There is probably a percentage that do choose not to have health insurance, but with that said I cannot see it being a very high percentage.
I have heard some people would like health insurance be more like car insurance. You pay car insurance for when you have an accident, but your car insurance doesn't cover getting an oil change or the tires rotated. Some think that health insurance should work in a simular way, you pay for office visits, minor medical costs, etc, but when either an accident, or major or chronic illness happen, that is when the insurance kicks in.
