in their proposal it says:

THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives encourages the University of
Oklahoma to engage in an open, dignified, and fair discussion of the Darwinian
theory of evolution and all other scientific theories which is the approach
that a public institution should be engaged in and which represents the desire
and interest of the citizens of Oklahoma.

doesn't that mean that they encourage other opinions? And if so, why would
they try to ban him?

Aside from that, it doesn't really surprise me that Oklahomans would try to ban
someone who doesn't believe in their Christian God!! And it especially doesn't
surprise me that a politician would be against this............they pretty much
have to declare they're christian just to get elected!!

I don't consider myself a christian but then again I'm not planning on running
for office either......
