well, that article is not particularly hopeful even if he ran as a democrat!

I don't know where they got their numbers because I haven't heard of many 
democrats who like Spector much.  I like him as a person but as a politician, 
he doesn't seem to get much done.  As I said before, he talks tough but when it 
comes to acting, he actually does very little.

You really think a man who has been a republican since before the Kennedy 
assassination would change parties so easily just to win votes?  I don't.  If 
he did lose in the primary, he would probably be more likely to do a Lieberman 
and run as an independent.
