exactly what I was thinking!! So the charges make their benefits worth less money!!
I wonder if they could simply take a single, large debit and then use the cash to pay their bills. If they could, they would only pay a one-time charge instead of paying several smaller charges over the course of their benefit period. True, food stamps cannot be used as cash. But just imagine if you didn't have to use your money to buy food.......when I had food stamps years ago, I loved them!! Plus if you have food stamps, you don't have to pay tax on the food either........that's cool too! ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, March 15, 2009 8:46 AM Subject: {Dawgs/Dittos} Re: Good Grief But the charges are deducted from the persons benefits!! Makes their benefits less because of all the fees...They need to get the money to pay the bills....so they would need to use it several times over the two weeks... Yes, cards are issued for food stamps in most states now....but there are no fees...people run them just like a debit card at grocery stores but because they are only for food, you can not get money for them... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "WebTV Dawgs/Dittos" group.
