well, Howard Dean pushed back on 'the ends justifies the means' a long time ago so maybe they figure it's already been addressed.
But more than that, I don't think anyone buys the argument that torture made us any safer than we would have been without it. On Real Time last night, Bob Baer (who used to be a CIA agent) said torture does NOT produce good intel........simply because the subject will tell you anything to stop the torture!
