I'd much rather he follow his heart and common sense as to what is best
for the people of Pennsylvania.....would they be best served if he was
defeated and a right wing extremist were elected ??

this is a good clip of Olbermann interviewing Chris Matthews about Specter's 
switch today.

At one time, Chris was thinking of giving up his MSNBC gig and running for 
Senator in his home state of PA.  He says the one thing that PA values is 
loyalty and what does it say about a person when he's willing to give up his 
loyalty to one party (a party which he has belonged to for so many yrs).....so 
how does such a person so easily give that up just to win an election?

Liberman did it but it's certainly not advisable to leave a party after you've 
sworn loyalty to them for so many yrs!
