I saw that and it seems to me that Condi is scared that prosecution
could be headed her way.....as she makes the plea.."I didn't authorize
anything".....
That was definitely the Nixon argument...
Students often get juicey tidbits like that because the "celebrity" does
not take them as seriously as a known reporter and will often be more
off the cuff....

In this clip, a student films a conversation with Rice who says (regarding
torture) they fulfilled their legal obligations. She also added "and by the
way, I did not authorize anything. I conveyed the authorization of the
administration to the agency".
So basically she's trying to use Nixon's argument that if the President does
something, that means it's not illegal!
Because.........as we all know, that argument turned out so well for Nixon!!
