actually, I was reading a message at democratic underground about
that........the person said it was actually a good move when the White House
made Rush the speaker of the republican party. Many at the time (myself
included) thought that might be a mistake.
But now Rush looks like the lunatic he is and every time he asks that another
republican should leave, it just makes them look more and more crazy.
And if a republican says something bad about Rush (like when Steele made that
mistake) they come crawling back to him and makes them sound even weaker than
they were before!!
The poster of the message I read made a good point. And I do agree that Powell
was the most intelligent one of the whole Bush gang!! If republicans don't
want him anymore (even though he did add a great deal of credibility by being a
member of that admin), I'm sure the democrats will gladly take him!!

I have always respected and liked Powell....how he stayed in the
administration is beyond me....I always thought his values were the
ultimate.....
So, it will be interesting to see if Powell is drummed out of the
party....every day it's something....
