we talked about this a few weeks ago but never settled on
anything. Does anyone have more suggestions for a
new name for TemplateServer?
>From memory the following have already been proposed:
-PlateKit
-TemplateFiller
-TemplateEngine
-TemplateBinder
-TemplateProcessor
It doesn't necessarily need 'Template' or 'Plate' in the name.
Here are the names of some similar tools:
-Velocity
-WebMacro
-Zebra
-Smarty PHP template engine
-Logic Template Engine
-PHP Template Engine
-MindTemplate
-Cocoon - XSL Template Engine
-FreeMarker
-DTML (sort of)
...
'Velocity' is my favourite name of all these.
It would be ideal to have a name that evokes images of:
-agility and grace ( = ease of use)
-speed
-flexibility
How about:
-Cheetah
-The Cheetah
-Web Cheetah
