What you've done sounds good to me. I think it's more appropriate for the
main line of CVS instead of the 0.5.1 branch, though. The 0.5.1 branch is
really for bugfixes only; new functionality like this should go on the main
line. 0.5.1 final should have been released already -- I think Chuck just
hasn't gotten around to it yet. As far as I can tell, the tip of CVS is
currently very solid -- I'm using the tip of the main line for all my work
and it works just fine. There have been a lot of improvements since the
0.5.1 branch.
I'm curious if you can explain a little more what you're doing with
WebKit. I'm a fan of wxPython and I'm wondering if you're combining the
two in some way.
As for ModPythonAppServer, I don't believe that one ever really worked
properly. It was just an experiment I think. (Not to be confused with
ModPythonAdapter which works fine.)
