Hello,

I'm interested in packaging mod_webkit for Debian, I know of the effort
of Federico Di Gregorio to package the whole of webware for Debian, but
for now I understand this attempt is delayed until webware will switch
to some directory layout and installation method that is easier to
integrate with the Debian system.

mod_webkit however is ready for packaging as it is, and is something
that the user cannot install himself, as opposed to him installing only
the WebWare/WebKit part on his account after the admin installs
mod_webkit.

I'm in such a situation with my ISP, where they will not install
anything not from stable debian but I can install on my personal account
anything I want.

Since debian is staged to go frozen in the coming months and released,
I'd like to have the current mod_webkit in the next version of debian.
mod_webkit is stable enough to be used and is unlikely to go through a
major change (in my understanding).

What I'm asking is for your agreement that I will extract only the
mod_webkit part and package it for Debian. When webware itself will be
packaged, we will roll mod_webkit back into the general webware package.
