The only cookies I really don't like are doubleclick.net cookies (or
similar ad-based cookies).  I think those are all bad, bad, bad.
Just about all that is required to stop those is not allowing cookies
on images, though, and browser-makers have firmly not stepped up to
the plate on that, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Like many privacy and general browser-control issues, the granularity
of options is too poor for users to have control.  Turn options off,
and get cut off from the web.  Leave options on, and get no
protection.  Ditto with popups (though Mozilla has just put in an
option not to allow popups onLoad or onUnload, bless their hearts).
