This came up in earlier discussions. Just wanted to point out that I benchmarked 10 vs. 100 in MiddleKit's new TestThreads.py. The improvement when going from 10 to 100 averaged 57%. Of course, the results are strong because the test places heavy emphasis on threads, but it's still an interesting number.
