Did it, thanks.

As I wanted to check if the latest version of MiddleKit shows the same
erronous behavior on my machine as it does with Webware 0.5.1.rc3, I was
stopped by strange cookie behavior.

No, I do not think, that this has something to do with my upgrading to the
latest CVS copy of Webware. Cookies annoyed me in Webware 0.5.1.rc3 as well.
But now, one day later, my app is broken, because the cookie set yesterday
is returned instead of the cookie set today (cookie contains date info). Let
me explain:

In page PageCashDeskLogin.py I call:

self.response().setCookie('siCustomerCode', code)
trans.application().forwardRequest(trans, 'PageCashDeskRegister.py')

where code is 'C1628000'.

In 'PageCashDeskRegister.py I ask for the cookie:

... = self.request().cookies('siCustomerCode', '')

which yields 'C1627001'. But that's a yesterday's value! As a result cookie
and some database contents do not match.

I mean, I set 'C1628000' calling self.response(setCookie(...) and get
'C1627001' from yesterday, when I call self.request().cookies(...)!

Can anyone enlighten me? What do I do wrong?

Too me it seems, that the cookie is not transferred to the browser (MSIE
5.5, cookies are activated), so I tried a 'self.writeln(" ")' as I thought
this would force a transfer to the browser. But that doesn't work either.

Thanks in advance and best regards
Franz

www.cvshome.org
as well as looking through the SF site docs.

Of course, as I write this it looks like someone is having a problem that
indicates the server is down... let me look.
