I thought people might be interested in this:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnhtmau/html/leverageediting.asp

It describes how to do rich text editing in IE, using DTML (but
thankfully not Java).

This is something I've been wanting for quite a while. Unfortunately,
it's IE-only (v4+). Very sad.

Does anyone know of something similar that might work for Mozilla (and
its progeny)? It seems like the mail program in Mozilla must allow rich
text input, and I can't imagine they wouldn't expose that to the rest of
us too. For Netscape 4.x users, I'm willing to make them use markup (or
just not use rich text).

This page lists some other editing widgets:

http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/cms/ttw.html

Some support Netscape on Windows, I don't think any support Netscape on
Linux, or Mozilla, but I'm not really sure (I haven't tested most of
them).

  Ian
