This might be quite dated, but still interesting to look at. I was in the process of making lots of changes before getting distracted. >and > >http://www.imapenguin.com/software/XMLForms/ This is the generously-mirrored download resource I was talking about. >And how's the release of XMLTools looking? Delayed. ;-) It all started off with the XML tutorial document I wrote, and which was available from my old Web site (and should be uploaded to the new one as soon as possible). I just wanted nicer ways of accessing XML information through the DOM API but without all the usual messing about handling XML data which isn't interesting - spurious text sections and so on. One problem with the DOM API is that to use it effectively, there's a lot of explaining to do. Then, I got more ambitious and started to rewrite the "templating" from XMLForms with the aim of incorporating it back into XMLForms later. After that, I thought it might be nice to be able to store XML documents in SQL databases according to a predefined schema, and I actually got this to work. Right now, it's at the stage where you can take a look at it, but it's not a release candidate by any stretch of the imagination. If you're intrigued, it may be worth a look, but if you're looking for solutions, then you'll be disappointed. It's often worth stressing such things - the number of packages I've downloaded which seem too much effort to evaluate... perhaps I'm just getting lazy in my old age. ;-) Anyway, try this URL: http://www.boddie.org.uk/downloads/XMLTools.tar.gz The usual disclaimers apply: if it does anything nasty or undesirable (which it shouldn't without severe provocation) then don't blame me for the consequences. ;-) Regards, Paul _______________________________________________ Webware-discuss mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/webware-discuss
