Dear all,
(espec. Karl Putland)

At first I would like to let you know that the discussion about XML and
about Model-View-Controller are very interesting.

Second: Is there anybody who would like to share a Groupware-project based
on Webware?
I'll need:
* Agenda with Calendarview
* Task organization with priorities
* Teams
* Document management with versioning
* WebDAV would be nice.
* Project Management.

I thought about something like Tutos (www.tutos.org) or phpGrouware. The
strange thing: I found a lot of groupwares writeen in PHP and only a few
solutions based on Zope or Python.

My aims are to put an ERP on top of the groupware solution. For that I'll
need a Workflow model. I thougth that 'Documents' (say orders, invoices,
notes, whatever) will flow between people in an organisation and some
automatically create tasks, so each person has something like a dispatch
queue but can reorganize the queue however she wants. Each message can have
links to other documents.

The proposed Workflow model (using MVC) is optimal. It could be used either
for elaborating a complex document (e.g. order, which was discussed in a
previous message) or to describe the document flow between users of a system
for business processes.

I know that this is a huge project. I think it'll take more or less 2 years,
but I think there could be many interested persons, because:
a) it's a groupware solution (let's safe some many, also Notes and Exchange
Server may be good products)
b) it's a document management solution (versions, flow and approvement
cycles)
c) framework for other business solutions like ERP or CRM (integration with
relational databases, a must).
d) could be used for B2B communications, vía XML, XML-RPC, SOAP, or simpler:
call some URL with parameters.

Suggestions?

Follow with these interesting mails. I learn a lot of it.

Erny
