Pound is a rather recent development, from what I can tell, although it
definitely seeks to be feature complete.  SCGI could be seen as feature
creep.  Though in my mind SCGI is like doing a proxy, where instead of
HTTP you use something with slightly higher level semantics.  From that
perspective it fits into Pound's role rather nicely.

But of course any small web server would be neat for this.
