It's official. I'm now the Webware Sprint Coordinator, which one could
regard as a sure sign nothing will happen. However, I'm aiming to buck my
own trend and make sure that -something-, however minimal it might be,
-does- happen.
To that end, I've updated the SprintPlan page in the PyCon wiki:

and added a page for the Webware Sprint:

As I mention in the WebwareSprint page, the "hot" topics I see are:
MiddleKit enhancements
UserKit bootstrapping out of alpha
Documentation and diagramming of Webware architecture / internals
I'm also personally partial to doing some work on DAVKit, but I might also
have finished that work by the time the sprint comes around.
The blanket guideline for sprints as established by Guido is that they
"aren't for newbies", because the idea is to do focused work on
much-needed enhancements to some body of code.
However, as Sprint Coordinator for this particular sprint, I'm empowered
to say that newbies are welcome, principally because the documentation and
diagramming project is a perfect one for newbies, since it involves poring
over the code and building an incremental understanding of it, then
writing all that down.
So, if you're a Webwarewolf and you'll be at PyCon DC 2003 and you can
show up two days early and you can shell out the fifty bucks[1] for the
Sprint, then you can help us show that the Zopatistas and Twistinis don't
have a lock on enthusiastic developers :)
(I'm not dissing the Z and T crowds here... just trying to drum up a
little face to face Webware community involvement :) ).
