Unfortunately I really haven't heard of any high-volume Webware apps, so
you'd probably be the first.

I can't think of anything in particular, but I'd just try stuff like
"benchmark", "requests per second", "ab", etc.

Yeah, that's tough.  You could try building a few servlets that busy-loop to
suck up CPU time, do some SQL queries, etc. and then hammer them with
ApacheBench and see what you come up with.  I'm not sure that will be very
convincing though.
