Well, Jose brought up the logo in particular, but with Tom's proposed
site redesign such things are kind of in the air.

The first one is too hard to read -- but maybe the W's could simply be
repeated (i.e., write "web\nware", *plus* have big W's in the
background). If the two big W's could fit together in some more iconic
manner that might be good. I don't think the color mixing works in that
one, or else it would have to be used to greater effect. The color
mixing works better in the second one, where it's more prominent.

Of course, I like the font in the second one, because I am fond of such
fonts. Of course, it also looks very 70's as well -- change the words
and I could easily imagine it as a sign for some convenience store of
that era. But perhaps I'm just sensitive to such things... the painted
"Web" from Luke's slave's logo feels a bit 90's to me.

Use of more subtle colors might improve that... oranges and greens and
whatnot, instead of pure red and blue. But such colors will mix to an
ugly brown... so you'd have to do pretend mixing to get it to look
right, and choose some arbitrary color to the be join of those two
colors. That could look right... it would take me a long time to do
that with the Gimp, though... maybe with more vector-based tools it
would be easier.

Hmmm... one issue that just occurred to me... I *hate hate hate*
"WebWare", i.e., mixed caps. It's okay in class names, but it sucks in
real names. People feel a desire to use that case, though, and with
both W's made prominent that spelling could become endemic.
