The key was setting the content type and adding the missing "/" in the "description" tag to close it. This was tested on Firefox 0.8 on Linux. I had to check the content type in the "Page Info" dialog to make sure I got it right. Now, on to something a little more substantial, using tree lists and grids to display results of database queries.
As for testing, LiveHTTPHeaders extension for Firefox is quite useful.
