I'm not sure when the release is going to happen, so if you want to try these improvements, you'll need to get the latest from Subversion.
I added HTTPRequest.setSessionId() which lets you pass in a session ID through non-standard means. An example use case would be using an XML-RPC parameter to pass in the session ID. See the docstring for details. I fixed the bug Tracy Ruggles reported where the Dynamic session store would unpickle the same object twice.
