Hi,
my partners and I need a contractor with QA and technical writing experience
to work with us part-time. We're working on a challenging project with a
tight deadline. In two months we have to create a health-care related order
processing and tracking system with barcode integration and users in two
continents, four timezones, and at least two languages. The system will be
handling 100,000+ transactions and millions of dollars monthly. Thus, QA is
critical for us.

You must:
 * be available start immediately and work somewhere between 15 and 30 hours
 a week
 * be able to work with little supervision in a *very* fast-paced environment
 * be able to dive into code and grok it quickly without pestering other
   developers

 * have experience writing automated functional, unit and load tests
 * have experience testing web applications and a solid understanding of http
 * have an eye for potential errors and security holes
 * not be timid about pointing out potential flaws
 * have real experience with large Python systems (using it to write your
personal blog system doesn't count)
 * have experience with subversion
 * have at least intermediate Linux sysadmin skills
 * have experience writing bash scripts and Makefiles
 * have a permanent and reliable broadband connection and your own linux
system
 * be able to "demonstrate" a well written/communicated bug report
 * be able to write in clear, correct, and readable English

You preferably:
 * have experience working remotely
 * are able to type and think quickly as most of our meetings are in
 fast-paced aim chat sessions
 * have experience with i18n
 * have experience with Gentoo
 * have experience with Postgresql
 * have experience with Apache

If you're qualified and interested, please send me your resume and any
 samples of your work that you can share.

Cheers,
Tavis
