I've been strugling with webware just to try to separate code from layout. For layout I'd prefer using cheetah, but since there was support for Kid, I installed kid.
Now the idea I get is that servlet's can be made out of kid templates, but I don't think I could use kid templates just for layout and minor logic. I'd like to be able to create a master template from where all pages would inherit at least the layout. Then servlet's would fill in the blanks, like menu's extra headers title, footer, and main content. Now, have I missed a recepie on wiki that already takes care of this?
