A new version 1.1 of the venerable Webware for Python web framework is now available for download at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/webware/Webware-1.1.tar.gz.
This release offers some major new features, e.g. a WSGI adapter, sessions based on shelve or Memcached, MiddleKit supporting SQLite. Webware requires Python 2.4 now. The code base has been cleaned up and modernized very much; all the old cruft that was only there to support older Python versions has been removed. The older Python versions are still supported via the latest bugfix version 1.0.3 of the 1.0 branch which has been released along with the current version 1.1.
