1) Ed Hafner reviewed the comments received from the draft survey. He clarified that entities representing multiple roles could submit multiple surveys. The surveys would be anonymous due to sensitivity of testing dates. John Huff is investigating getting survey on a HTTP server where the results came be extracted info a flat file and then a spreadsheet. Email responses will also be accepted. The survey will be marketed through regional SNIPs and list serves. We will also ask others to link to the survey. John will request that once the survey has been approved by the co-chairs that Kristin Becker coordinate contacting regional SNIPs and other WEDI contacts such as hospital, medical associations. The goal is to publish the survey by 01/14/03 so the draft must be to the co-chairs for next Monday's meeting. It is discussed to survey each month or as frequently as possible. It was requested that an additional question be added asking whether the responder would be interested in contributing to a test data repository and would they also use the repository in their testing efforts.
2) IG ambiguities needs further definition on the intent to insure that it is not a duplicate effort with X12. X12 IG "Interpretation group" is attempting to resolve IG questions/issues and move the recommendations through the X12 process. Brandi Wyatt will follow up with Rich Landen to see how this effort is moving forward including the collection process. This initiative is on hold until we receive further detail from X12.
3) Technical scenarios. John Lilleston is a third of the way complete with the institutional and expects to be complete next week. Brandi should complete the dental within the week. Need to discuss whether EDIFECS will be publishing the test scenarios.
4) Testing Certification White Paper. There was discussion on whether there needed to be a separate white paper with additional clarification on how to test software and systems, followed by recommendations. The focus should be narrow to allow a quick turnaround. At the next meeting a group of volunteers will present recommendations on white paper topics. These suggested topics should then be presented to the list serve soliciting additional topics and priorities.
