I have a question regarding ICD-9 Diagnosis codes.
If a diagnosis is submitted on a transaction that requires a 4th of
5th digit but the extra digit was not included, is this considered a valid
standard code? I am questioning the validity of these codes to see if these
transactions could/should be denied back to the submitter.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
