A couple of slight corrections to Alan's good note. In the third paragraph I'm sure Alan meant to refer to TRN03 instead of EB03 and the values of 1, 3 and 9.
Pages 190 and 268 of the 004010X092 Implementation Guide correctly identify the maximum occurrences of TRN segments as 3. Alan's reference to page 191 (and though he listed 268, he was probably looking at 269) is to the maximum of 9 allowed in the X12 standard, however the Implementation Guide restricts the maximum to 3. You had me worried there for a second that we made a mistake in the guide Alan.
