I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but hope you can assist.
I'm trying to get clarification on a few values on the 278 transaction set,
specifically, the UM03 segment:
A4 - Psychiatric
A7 - Psychiatric - Inpatient
A8 - Psychiatric - outpatient
How is A4 intented? It seems that it is covered in A7 or A8.
The same concept applies for
A9 - rehabilitation
AB - rehabiliation inpatient
AC - rehabiliation outpatient
How is A9 intended? It seems that this value is covered in AB or AC.
Also, what about '86' Emergency Services. What encompasses this code? We do have
other emergency type UM03 codes that could include this category.
