XML Standards -Current Status and Future Plans
This session will focus on XML implications on HIPAA transactions. 
Join us to here a lively panel discussion on the new alphabet soup of XML: CDA, CICA, W3C, OASIS, HL7, UN/CEFACT, ebXML.  Have you seen the headlines?  Let's talk about what they mean - "CMS Headline:  Federal Government Announces First Federal eGov Health Information Exchange Standards...federal agencies will adopt Health Level 7 (HL7) messaging standards."  "ASC X12 Strategy includes harmonize X12 XML business messages with UN/CEFACT's approach".  "Clinical Data Architecture approved as an ANSI standard November 2000.
