Details:
It would be helpful to make it possible to bind any arbitrary keysequence to
a key.
This could be done by enhancing the "key"-function.
As an example "/key meta-l string LOL" would add the string LOL to the
inputbuffer.
This would be helpful as a shortcut to long, common strings and especialy
usefull to type characters which are supported by the terminal but are not on
the current keyboard layout.
