Hi,
The layout should be saved for all windows, whatever the size is.
You can check by doing /layout save windows and then /save. Then look in
weechat.conf, you should see all windows, even if they are small.
The problem you can have is that when you restart WeeChat (or when you apply
your layout manually), if your terminal is too small, the split can not be
done, because the window would be too small for being displayed.
