Many IRC commands (including /part) must be executed on an IRC buffer (it does
not work on core buffer).
I'm not able to reproduce your problem, so I mark bug as "invalid". If you
know why this happened (and if you think it's a bug), then please add a
comment.
Note: please always report bugs against latest stable. Many bugs are fixed in
each release and 0.3.7 is very old (Feb 2012), and has a known security
problem.
