Summary: support for passphrase-protected client SSL certificates Project: WeeChat Submitted by: None Submitted on: Tue 17 Sep 2013 08:20:21 AM UTC Category: None Should Start On: Tue 17 Sep 2013 12:00:00 AM UTC Should be Finished on: Tue 17 Sep 2013 12:00:00 AM UTC Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Percent Complete: 0% Assigned to: None Originator Name: MaddHatter Originator Email: maddh...@cat.pdx.edu Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None IRC nick: MaddHatter _______________________________________________________ Details: Weechat currently supports client SSL certificates without passphrases -- using the irc.server.*.ssl_cert option. However if this option is used to specify a certificate that is protected/encrypted with a passphrase, weechat fails to prompt for the passphrase and fails to load the certificate, generating an ASN error instead. Please add support for passphrase-protected SSL certificates. Ideally, include an option for the passphrase to be cached in memory (to automatically reconnect, so long as weechat is still running), or used and immediately forgotten (forcing user intervention to retype the passphrase if a reconnect is needed). _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/task/?12844> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Weechat-dev mailing list Weechat-dev@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/weechat-dev
